Technical Cleaning of Comms Rooms Manchester
General Medical Council
“We were requested by our client to use their longstanding supplier for the technical cleaning of the refurbished Comms Room within their Manchester Office. All aspects of this project were excellently managed from start to finish. Capital worked with every moving project plan and were faultless in the technical cleaning of the comms room.” – Project Manager Overbury
The Problem
Due to this being a build project, the completion date had to be set in stone but with various delays. This isn’t uncommon with this kind of job and meant there had to be a clear and open dialogue with both the build company and their end client.
A meeting was planned to discuss the specification for the comms room cleaning, which then had to be planned around the existing trades who were tasked with completing the initial build prior to handover.
Challenges
Working alongside a build project is complex due to the ever changing site requirements and immediate need from all associated trades.
The technical comms room cleaning had to be the last aspect prior to the final handover of the site. This rarely happens due to the over-running of the project or the need for final snagging, due to ensuring practical completion is met.
Solution
With the requirement of the client and build project, a start time was planned for early in the morning to ensure complete and free access.
Once the works had been completed and agreed by the client, the staff then stayed on site for the remainder of the day and completed an additional technical clean of the room following remedial snagging works carried out by other trades.
